The highlight of the night, however, was arguably the presence of Marsden whose experience was telling in a comfortable 104-59 victory over Scunthorpe.

Despite impressive performances from Matty Lindley, Nick Hutchinson and Adam Shaw, the amount of National League talent at the Eagles’ disposal was more than enough to secure a third successive cup final victory for Danum who got big performances from Paul Walsh and Mathew Martin.

They were ably supported by the guard play of Alex Laurence and Ryan Fisher, while the MVP was Walsh who put on a terrific offensive display to lead the scoring.

Earlier in the evening Danum’s youngsters prevailed 107-86 in a fast-paced encounter against the Seahawks.
