Former players and friends of the club, including 2012 Olympian Devon Van Oostrum and Doncaster-born Leeds Force star Robert Marsden, will descend on Danum Academy Lower School for two days of elite basketball.

Four teams, backed by four businesses, will go head to head in a variety of games.

“Our main event will be Team NYC vs Team MOKO which will easily feature the most talent assembled on a court in Doncaster for many years,” said Eagles on Facebook.

“We’ll also have a dunk contest, three point contest, junior games, a women’s game, refreshments and merchandise available to purchase.”

Eagles recently discovered they had been promoted for a second successive season and will play in Division Two of the National League next season. However, as reported in last week’s Free Press, the club will have to play their home matches in Scunthorpe to meet league criteria.

Head coach Bob Martin said: “We have had a fantastic season and I am extremely proud of the players and everyone else involved with this club.

“We hope everyone can join us for the All Star weekend and help celebrate what has truly been an epic season for one of South Yorkshire’s top sporting teams.”

Tickets for the event, which runs on both Saturday and Sunday (10am-6pm), will cost £2 for a day ticket or £3 for a weekend pass.

Refreshments will be available on the day, including a BBQ (weather permitting).
