The 104-93 victory on Saturday topped off a hugely successful Eagles Day II in front of another full house at Danum Academy.

Ross Stafford’s side did not have it all their own way against the Giants and a nervy start saw them trailing 29-23 at the end of the first quarter.

However, when the Eagles got into their stride the visitors struggled to cope and they were able to draw level before half time prior to building a 25-point lead.

Oliver Hylands stood out with 29 points, while Mathew Martin again excelled with a return of 27. Eighteen-year-old Liam Knapp also produced his best performance of the year to net 19 points.

Eagles took their foot off the gas in the final quarter and saw their lead cut to 13 points but there was never any danger of a late twist.

The Doncaster club are second in the table, two points adrift of unbeaten Team Newcastle University.
