WEEKEND work to repair a bridge carrying traffic on one of Doncaster’s busiest roads has been delayed.
Motorists were preparing for weeks of travel disruption on the A630 Balby Road to start last Saturday.
But the work, which will see new edge beams installed on Balby New Bridge, was put back by contractors after engineering difficulties.
Doncaster Council said the move was out of its control. Work is set to begin this Saturday.
The closures will be outbound over the bridge which forms part of the Balby flyover. Diversions will remain in place between 10am Saturday and 6am Monday every weekend until August 13.
