Arsonists are being hunted over a series of vehicle fires across South Yorkshire.

At 1.30am today a car was torched in Westerdale Road, Scawsby, Doncaster and at 4am yesterday a BMW was set alight in Wulfric Road, Manor, Sheffield.

Firefighters were also called out to a Volkswagen Transporter set on fire in Greenwood Crescent, Darnall, Sheffield, in the early hours of yesterday.

They also dealt with a Peugeot 206 set alight in Bainton Drive, Kingstone, Barnsley, on Friday night.

In the early hours of this morning rubbish was set on fire in Tinsley Park Road, Tinsley, Sheffield and at 2.05am yesterday two wheelie bins were set alight in Elmfield Road, Hyde Park, Doncaster.

A skip was also set alight in Orchard Croft, Bawtry, Doncaster over the weeknd along with a derelict caravan in Station Road, Dunscroft, Doncaster.
