Arsonists attack vehicles in Doncaster

Firefighters were called to two separate vehicle blazes in the Doncaster region this week which are believed to have been started deliberately.

At 9pm yesterday (Wednesday) Dearne fire station crew attended an incident on Doncaster Road in Mexborough, involved was a transit van.

In the early hours of this morning (Thursday) a crew from Edlington station were called out to Pastures Lane in Cadeby.

The report came in at 1.30am and on arrival firefighters discovered a Peugeot 508 well alight.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed arsonists were believed to be responsible for both of these incidents.
