FIREFIGHTERS were called out after a car was reported ablaze behind a Doncaster takeaway.
They arrived to find a Vauxhall Astra alight behind the Hong Kong takeaway on Chequer Avenue, near Doncaster town centre.
Firefighters who put the flames out believe the vehicle had been set alight in an arson attack.
The incident, which was reported at around 11pm on Sunday night, was dealt with by a crew from Doncaster Fire Station.
They used a hose reel to put the flames out and left the scene after 30 minutes.
