We asked for your top cafes on Facebook - and in no particular order, here are your favourite places across Doncaster to tuck in and enjoy bacon, eggs, sausages and beans and all the trimmings...

Christina Barber-Callender nominated Croziers in Armthorpe and praised its breakfast of "fresh mushrooms and tomatoes, good quality sausages and bacon." She added: "Lovely clean and friendly cafe. Not found anything else to compare to it."

Bryan Moore opted for the Marine Café at Thorne and recommended the "full monty - 3 bacon, 3 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, 2 black pudding, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, toast or bread and butter, tea or coffee or a can for £5.50 - excellent value."

The revamped Red Lion pub in Doncaster Market Place drew praise from Stacey Richardson, Lindsey Emmerson and Lee Roberts who described it as "mint" while Megabites at Scawthorpe was a favourite for Sarah Griffiths, Lisa Evison, Craig Crossley, Mark Worgan and Jen Hutchinson who described its "beaut brekkies."

Danny Kirby said: "If you're in and around Thorne, then it has to be Deja Vu cafe...£6 for a large home cooked (not deep fried) brekky that can't be beat!!"

Jason Clarke chose Woods Tea Rooms in Wood Street, Doncaster for its quality and Guy Forshaw was in agreement adding, "forget the rest!"

Graham Cashmore posted: "Gotta say Woodfield Farm is best breakfast in Doncaster closely followed by Simos on Thorne Road" - the latter being a venue also picked by Ben Bradshaw as "the best by far."

Sandall Park Cafe drew votes from Katie Wheeldon and Michael Robertson who said it serves the "best brekkie ever!!!" while the Frenchgate Cafe in Frenchgate was a favourite for Kerry Wilcox, Sabrina Beecher, Sue Robinson and Magaret Wilcox who said: "It's lovely and so are the staff."

Phillip Toomer picked Lakeside Cafe in Askern, writing: "Awesome food and a great view of the lake and all the ducks" while Trevor Frost chose Tommy's on Livingstone Avenue, Clay Lane writing: "Not been open long. Good breakfast and don't serve plastic sausage."

Mike Dowman and Christina Broadley both plumped for Bliss in Thorne, the latter praising its "wonderful food and wonderful staff."
