Energy supplier EuroSite Power is an on-site utility solutions provider, offering clean electricity, heat, hot water and cooling solutions to healthcare, hospitality, housing and leisure centre across Europe.

The agreement between EuroSite Power and Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust will see The Dome save in excess of £35,500 on its energy bills a year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 667 tonnes – equivalent to taking 140 cars off the road each year - over the next 15 years.

EuroSite Power will provide the leisure centre, Lakeside, with all the benefits of expensive energy saving equipment, but without the capital cost of buying, installing or maintaining the equipment.

Under the terms of the 15-year agreement, a highly efficient combined heat and power system will be installed and Eurosite will handle all maintenance and operating costs. The Dome will then buy the energy produced by the system from EuroSite Power at a rate guaranteed to be lower than what is available directly from the grid.

Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust’s Head of Facilities Terry Parker said: “Controlling costs is essential to ensuring The Dome is able to provide the very best facilities for all our users. Cash flow is also obviously a vital concern so, with zero upfront costs, and immediate, guaranteed, risk-free savings, the EuroSite Power solution makes perfect sense.”
