A GROUP which acts as a watchdog for speeding drivers is appealing for more members to join them.
The Community Speed Watch (CSW) in Misterton has just started up again and they would like more people to get involved.
During a recent rota the group recorded 20 speeding vehicles, with some travelling at more than 50mph in areas with a 30mph limit.
But Misterton councillor Hazel Brand said in general there has been a significant speed reduction through the village since the group was formed.
She added: “More volunteers are needed for the Misterton rota.
“The commitment is one or two hours every four weeks at times to suit you, including weekends.
“Volunteers are trained by Notts Police.”
Anyone who would like to volunteer or requires further information, contact the village CSW Co-ordinator David Pearce on 07949 703724 or email him at email@example.com.
