Ambulance responding to 999 call involved in early morning Doncaster crash

An ambulance responding to a 999 call was involved in a collision in Doncaster this morning.

The ambulance was travelling along Wheatley Hall Road when the collision with a car occurred.

South Yorkshire Police said: “We received a call at 7.09am this morning reporting a collision between an ambulance and another vehicle on Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster.

“Officers attended the scene and the vehicles were recovered.

“No-one was injured in the collision.

“It is believed the ambulance was travelling on blue lights at the time.”
