Unbeaten Scawthorpe Athletic opened up a five-point lead at the top of the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Premier Division after beating second-placed Rakkam 4-1.

Shaun Mundy and Sam Corner both bagged a brace for Athletic in their sixth successive win with Andy McCreadie becoming the first player to score against them this season.

Upton Wrangbrook got off the mark at the seventh time of asking thanks to Rob Iveson when beating FC Romarnsley, who were also promoted from Division Two at the end of last season, 1-0.

Pit Club Miners dug in for a high-scoring 8-6 win at bottom club Rossington Athletic.
