Air ambulance called out to Doncaster over injured cyclist near golf club

The helicopter was dispatched at just after 3pm on Friday after a report came in that the rider had been hurt at High Melton, landing close to the scene of the incident.
A spokesman for the air ambulance charity said: “At 15.06 we were dispatched to a male cyclist who injured his arm after falling from his bike near High Melton Golf Course.

As a rapid response air emergency service the helicopter is run by a charity and serves a population of approximately five million people across four million acres. Its two air ambulances operate from The Nostell Priory Estate near Wakefield and RAF Topcliffe near Thirsk and together cover the whole of Yorkshire.
