Air ambulance called out to Doncaster over injured cyclist near golf club

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was sent out after a cyclist was injured on a ride through the Doncaster countryside.

The helicopter was dispatched at just after 3pm on Friday after a report came in that the rider had been hurt at High Melton, landing close to the scene of the incident.

A spokesman for the air ambulance charity said: “At 15.06 we were dispatched to a male cyclist who injured his arm after falling from his bike near High Melton Golf Course.

"Our Critical Care Team provided on scene support and he was taken to hospital by road ambulance.”
