50s style rock ‘n’ roll restaurant opens in Doncaster

Ed’s Easy Diner has been unveiled in the Frenchgate Shopping Centre this morning after bosses at the nationwide chain described the town as “a leading destination.”

The firm;s latest eatery has arrived in time for Christmas after the company identified Frenchgate as ‘the heart of shopping in Doncaster’.

Andrew Guy, CEO of Ed’s Easy Diner, said: “Frenchgate is a fantastic opportunity for Ed’s Easy Diner and we are very pleased to be opening in the centre.

“Frenchgate is the heart of shopping in Doncaster, and its impressive line-up of brands is very popular with consumers.

“We were attracted by its position as a leading destination, combined with such a prominent location that captures the centre’s high footfall, and look forward to bringing our unique and authentic American food to the town.”

Ed’s Easy Diner opened the doors of its first classic Diner in Soho, London, more than 25 years ago and has gone on to be recognised as one of the Sunday Times’ fastest growing UK companies.

The brand has brought its chrome fittings, red and white signature colour scheme and neon signage to a 2,600 sq ft restaurant in a prominent location on the upper level of Frenchgate’s South Central Square.

It follows the successful opening of The Mallard family restaurant and pub, part of Greene King’s Hungry Horse chain, at Frenchgate in May this year.
