IF over inflated festival ticket prices and their new fandangled “instalment plans” have well and truly put you off even contemplating singing your heart out in a muddy field this year, then take comfort – you could be watching three world class headlining bands performing right on your doorstep with not a booking fee or soggy wellington in sight.

For thanks to the ever-popular Fake Festival Tour visiting Sandall Park again this weekend, internationally acclaimed tribute acts Coldplace, Basketcase and Kazabian will all be under one roof for you to enjoy.

Headlining act Coldplace from Grimsby have been on the gig circuit for seven years, not only in the UK but also worldwide, firmly establishing themselves as one of the best tributes in the world, with Chris Martin himself actually endorsing them as the best Coldplay tribute.

“Fake Festivals are the highlight of our year and we love performing at them - the whole atmosphere inside the marquee is electric and we really feel part of it as we can get so close to the crowd,” says lead singer of Coldplace, Shane Croft.

“Expect to see the Coldplay show when we perform, we have all the new songs along with all the classics in our set, as well as a great light show!”

Taking place inside the Fake Festivals’ marquee, people can experience the full festival vibe thanks to performances from some of the biggest bands in the world on a main stage boasting a state of the art sound and lighting system.

Plus, festival goers will also have the chance to catch five local support acts handpicked for their talent before they hit the big time at this community led event.

“I set up Fake Festivals six years ago so that people could enjoy their own festival right on their doorstep and watch live performances from some of their favourite bands, instead of having to travel hundreds of miles and spend hundreds of pounds at bigger festivals to experience it,” explains Jez Lee, founder of Fake Festivals.

In addition to internationally acclaimed headlining tributes and talented up and coming local support acts, there’s also a secured area featuring a variety of food stalls, face painting, a bucking bronco, bungee run and bouncy castle, ensuring there’s plenty for families to enjoy too.
