Crafty folk will want to make material gains at a major South Yorkshire showcase this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday sees annual highlight Summer Crafting, this year rebranded as Crafting Live, at Doncaster Racecourse.
The summer spectacular will star tomorrow (Friday) with full day workshop with Stephanie Weightman and Nancy Watt covering range of papercraft projects that will include materials, countless craft knowledge from our experts, refreshments and goodies to take home.
Pre booking is essential for what is guaranteed to be a great day, learning lots of new techniques and making new friends. The Workshop ticket also gets you into the show on any or all of the days, including refreshments.
The show is open 10am-5pm on Saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday and, if you live within 10 miles of the venue, you get free entrance on latter afternoon by simply entering your postcode in the discount section to receive voucher code when you book online or bring proof of address.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday, you can visit a vast range of exhibitors stocking stamps, dies, decoupage, fabric, ribbon and much more. A dedicated sewing area will cater for those who enjoy sewing, knitting, quilting and more.
Crafting Live is home to a huge free make and take area that can be booked on the day to take part in. A number of well-known crafters will be running these sessions and will allow you to take your finished project home with you. Make and take booking point is open from 10am each day and booking is essential.
There will also be the chance to see Create and Craft shows broadcasting live from the main stage. You could get to be part of the audience and watch some of our crafty celebrities demonstrate brand new products live. There may even be a chance to meet some of your favourite presenters after the show!
Organisers are also extremely proud to welcome John Bloodworth, aka Gentleman Crafter, to the show as part of his All Counties Craft Challenge. John is embarking on a 12-month challenge to spread creativity across the nation and raise money for a charity which is close to his heart.
