Whitby’s Fish and Chip Restaurant is a big hit

There’s nothing better than jumping in the car and driving to the coast.

The fresh sea air, sandy beaches and fairground attractions have the ability to take you back in time to your childhood days.

But let’s be honest the best thing about the seaside is the fish and chips.

But if the recent bad weather has ruined your plans for a coastal day out don’t despair Doncaster’s newest fish and chip restaurant will hit the spot.

Whitby’s Fish and Chip Restaurant in the former firestation in Leicester Avenue serves up delicious food to eat in or take away.

I decided to go traditional and opt for the cod, chips and mushy peas to eat in the restaurant.

The fish was succulent and tasty and although the batter was relatively thin in comparison to the usual seaside delights it was crisp and tasty.

The old fashioned style chips were full of flavour and lovely dipped in the mushy peas.

I would definitely recommend a visit to Whitby’s although I still think Fish Bits just pips it to the post.
