Refurbished Doncaster care home has spaces available
A Doncaster business, owned and managed by Doncaster people, is leading the way in care home living by establishing homes and standards that give residents everything they could possibly need.
Trust Care Ltd. currently owns seven homes across the Doncaster and North Lincolnshire areas, and offers a range of nursing care and residential facilities to support people depending upon their individual needs.
Its residential home at Norton, north of Doncaster town centre, is named The Laurels and has been providing exceptional care to Doncaster residents for over 25 years. Its newly-refurbished single storey wing, Orchard Lodge has – along with a second wing, Chapel Lodge – been recently renamed by children from Norton Infant and Junior School.
Orchard Lodge offers residents a delightful private room with ensuite facilities and plenty of space to enable them to make it their own, whether that is bringing along their favourite chair, or even creating space for a musical instrument. The spacious rooms can be personalised for individual tastes and requirements. In addition, most rooms within the single-storey Orchard Lodge have feature French doors that open either onto a private courtyard or a picturesque garden, allowing the rooms to be light and filled with fresh air.
Known for its delicious home-cooked meals and activities programme, residents are encouraged, should they wish, to take part or learn and develop new skills. The programme – which encompasses trips out, craft activities within the home or simply enjoying a favourite film on the TV with a cup of tea and a slice of cake – is proving a formula for ensuring residents are happy, and extended families have peace of mind that their loved ones are enjoying a full and happy life, whilst having the company and care that living on your own can’t bring.
Offering comfortable and stylish accommodation, The Laurels takes immense pride in providing a “home from home” setting, with its focus being on creating a caring family environment.
“Our home is a truly lovely place to be, and we all live and work together like one family,” says Julie Moran, the care home manager of The Laurels. “Our new refurbishment means that we have some of the best facilities in the area now, as well as the best standards of care, and we are very proud of The Laurels and what it brings to our local community.”
Janet, the daughter of one resident at The Laurels commented: “There is a lot to be said for having company, and Mum has always thrived on being with others, so living at The Laurels has simply given her the best of everything. Someone is always on hand, and this has given us both a peace of mind that is invaluable. Knowing that my lovely Mum is happy and safe is amazing.”
Anyone who is thinking of making a move into residential care is warmly welcomed to view the Doncaster care home so that the care and facilities on offer can be appreciated first-hand. Currently, viewings are by appointment only to comply with present restrictions.
