A health trust is reaching for the sky and searching for 20 daredevils to sign up for a charity skydive in aid of Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Goole Hospitals.
The Health Tree Foundation (HTF), the official charity of Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, is appealing for fundraisers with a head for heights to skydive for dementia for patients across all three hospitals.
Money raised from the event will go towards the HTF’s ‘Golden Leaves’ appeal, which will help to buy two state-of-the-art screens which will provide vital stimulation for dementia patients. HTF community champion Laura Gooderham said: “Patients can become even more disorientated, confused and irritated when they are in hospital. “We want to ensure their stay with us is as pleasant as possible. The nursing specialists already utilise such things as rummage boxes, dementia friendly clocks and signage however we want to go one step further.” Call 03033 305672 or 304514 for more.
