New Elbow album to be aired at Doncaster pub ahead of release

British rockers Elbow will allow fans the chance to listen to their new album this week - ahead of its release.

And what’s more, they will be able to do so with a pint of the band’s specially brewed beer, created specially to mark the release of the band’s sixth studio album The Take Off And Landing Of Everything which is released on Monday.

Hatfields on Ash Hill Road, Hatfield is one of 250 pubs nationwide inviting fans to listen to the album at specially organised playback events on Wednesday and Thursday.

The album will be played at 3pm, 6pm and 9pm and listeners will also be able to try a pint of Charge, a 4.2% ABV ale named after one of the songs on the album which has been specially brewed to tie in with the album release.

Lead singer Guy Garvey said: “We’re proud to support pubs with these events and a pint of Charge is the perfect accompaniment to listening to the new album.

“The British pub is an institution and part of the social fabric of communities up and down the country. In the same way that our first beer broke new ground, we hope that these playback events are followed by others and provide another reason to support your local.”
