Isle pupils pull out all the stops for school prom
Pupils from Axholme Academy celebrated the milestone moment at Doncaster Rugby Club with a glamorous party and lavish three course meal.
From fancy cars to horse-drawn carriages pupils made sure they arrived in style to the event the prom that has become a modern institution up and down the country.

Hide AdWith exams now over, the event gave the school-leavers one last chance to spend an evening with their friends and teachers before looking ahead to the summer holiday and their future in further education or employment.
From floor length red lace gowns to midnight blue sequin gowns - the girls made sure they looked the part in their elegant gowns. Perfectly manicured fingers, sleek hair styles and glamorous make-up completed the looks.
Meanwhile the boys made sure they oozed style with tailored suits, bow ties and stylish shades.
After the meal pupils danced the night away with a disco.
The prom marked the end of a busy and successful year at the Crowle based academy.

Hide AdAs well as academic achievements the academy also celebrated a milestone moment in the leisure centre project.
Work is continuing on the Axholme North Leisure Centre development and the latest part to be completed is the 9v9 artificial grass pitch. The 9v9 pitch is floodlit with three smaller pitches marked out as well.
A Spokesman for Axholme Academy said: “The pitch looks fantastic and our students can’t wait to use it for a variety of sports including football and hockey. The leisure centre as a whole is on schedule for an autumn 18 completion.”
