Conisbrough Music Festival arrived early for a school in the town - and pupils were delighted.
Morley Place Junior School was working on a project on Playlists, which evolved into a full scale Glastonbury-style Music Fest day, organised by class teachers with Year 4.
Classroom assistant Bev Wilkes heard about their project and asked organisers of the Conisbrough Music Fest if they could provide a singer for the children. With only a day to get things organised the Music Fest managed to get local singer Sam Wright (pictured) to come and play, to the delight of youngsters and teachers alike.
A school spokesman said: “Children had come to school dressed for the event. They pitched tents in the morning in the school field and were wearing Music Fest wristbands. They were going to be compiling lists of what they would take to a music fest in the afternoon.” The festival is on June 27.
