Music fans from across the country are ready to descend on Doncaster in July to see their favourite band perform at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Tickets for the Westlife concert on July 30 have been snapped up by fans from Scotland to Dover leaving organisers pleased to be drawing people from all over the UK to the town.

Shane Chalmers, chief executive of the Stadium Management Company said: “We are all really looking forward to welcoming the guys from Westlife to Doncaster and making this event one for all the family. The concert will be one of the biggest events of its type hosted in the town.

“Westlife have created such a big following over the last decade and this is illustrated with how many miles fans will clock up to come and watch their latest tour. We have fans coming from as North as Scotland and as far south as Dover!“

The Irish quartet have had 14 number one singles in the UK, the third-highest in UK history, the same as Cliff Richard and trailing behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

The Band - Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan - are the only act in British and Irish history to have their first seven singles go straight to number one and have sold over 44 million records worldwide.

Tickets for the event are available from the Keepmoat Stadium ticket office and online via Ticketmaster from just £35.
