The fully licensed tea room/restaurant was taken over by Kerry and Richard Lee two-and-a-half years ago and since then they have set about creating a mouth watering menu of home made treats.

They also run regular theme events with recent successes including Greek, a belly dancing night, Mexican, Abba theme and many other fun get-togethers. Special menus are always provided for the theme nights with the intention of having a good time.

The chef of the menu of home made goodies is Richard Lee who rustles up his meals and cakes daily to ensure he keeps the customers satisfied. Meals include cottage pie, meatballs, Welsh rarebit, home made cakes and much more.

Kerry said: “We are very community orientated and hold a number of events for charity. We try to ensure that food is home made on the premises and, as far as we can, that any ingredients we use are sourced locally.”

She added: “We use local shops for ingredients such as Albion Bakery, Gravel and Sons fruit and veg shop, Medley farm Shop in Belton and many more. Any details on the shop and its events can be found on the Hatty’s website or Facebook page. To ensure customers are well catered for we are fully licensed to sell beers and wines and also fully air conditioned to keep customers cool.”

The eatery has plenty of space and caters for special occasions like birthdays, christenings, anniversaries or any occasion you wish to celebrate. There is an interesting variety of dishes to choose from including some vegetarian options.

Space inside the cafe/restaurant is not a problem. Don’t be fooled when you first walk in as there is also plenty of space upstairs and a courtyard space behind the building to cater for any occasion.

The restaurant even offers a wonderful afternoon tea for £12.50 per person that includes sandwiches, a host of goodies, scones and drinks. In addition there is the offer of a three course meal at the cafe/restaurant for £20.
