Under Doncaster’s Tier 3 lockdown restrictions, all pubs and restaurants have to remain closed – while pubs in Tier 2 areas are allowed to stay open, as long as they serve a ‘substantial meal.’

And staff at Biscuit Billy’s in Silver Street came up with their own unique idea to get around the lockdown rules.

Posting a picture of a pint of Carlsberg with a pork pie perched on the rim of the glass along with a pink, curly straw, a cheeky post on the bar's Facebook page said: “Following a staff meeting this was our best idea for a substantial food offer. What do you think?”

Unfortunately, the idea was just a joke and for the meantime, the bar, also known as the St Leger Tavern will be staying closed.
