Diners at Doncaster’s newest restaurant, Elephant & Castle, are set to be joined by two very special guests when it opens at Frenchgate Shopping Centre on Monday, May 17.

Saturday, 15th May 2021, 9:19 am

To celebrate the opening of Elephant & Castle, one of Ireland’s most loved restaurants, two of the famous herd of Sheffield elephants will be on display for customers to view and enjoy.

The Herd of Sheffield was organised by The Children’s Hospital Charity in 2016 and was the largest public art event to have ever taken place in South Yorkshire.

Frenchgate will be welcoming two of the elephants which were auctioned for the charity once the event had finished. The Gulal Graffiti elephant, which was inspired by Holi festival and the distinctive Jackophant elephant, who proudly wears the red, white and blue of the UK’s national flag.

They look fantastic and I know they will be a real talking point with our customers.
