Costa Coffee leaflet blunder puts Doncaster in NORTH Yorkshire

The firm, which has just unveiled its ninth branch in Doncaster with the opening of a new drive thru outlet off Wheatley Hall Road, has blitzed homes across the borough with leaflets with vouchers offering free coffee.

However, when printing the branch’s address details, rather than putting its location as South Yorkshire, Doncaster was lumped in with places like York, Harrogate and Scarborough in North Yorkshire.

The leaflet reads: “Come and discover your new Costa Coffee Drive Thru and have a coffee on us. We look forward to welcoming you.”

It then lists the address as Argo Drive (off Wheatley Hall Road), Wheatley, Doncaster, North Yorkshire, DN2 4FR.

One eagle eyed resident who spotted the gaffe said: “I’m all for a free coffee, but not if it means going all the way to North Yorkshire for one.”
