A town jeweller has launched a search for Doncaster’s diamond couples, with £1,000 up for grabs for partners celebrating their 60-year wedding anniversary in 2021.

Beaverbooks in North Central Square has launched the search to celebrate diamond month in April and, as 60th anniversaries are traditionally commemorated with diamonds, is hoping to shine a spotlight on Doncaster’s happily married couples who have enjoyed wedded bliss for six decades by treating them to £1,000 worth of stunning diamond jewellery.

The couples with the most heartwarming stories and best nuggets of advice for a long and happy marriage will be treated to Beaverbrooks diamonds, and be invited to become the face of the brand – with their story featuring on the website.

Couples celebrating their diamond anniversary in 2021 can nominate themselves or be nominated by a friend or family member via the Beaverbooks website, by uploading a photo and explaining their secrets to a long and happy marriage in 100 words.

Mat Kelly, regional manager at Beaverbrooks Doncaster, said: “It’s no secret that diamonds are one of our favourite stones at Beaverbrooks – we love the sheer beauty and uniqueness of every stone, much like a couple! What better way to celebrate than by shining a spotlight on couples celebrating their diamond anniversary this year?

“60 years is an incredible milestone, and we’d love to hear how couples in Doncaster have reached this together – we’re sure they’ve certainly got a story or two to tell! We want to recognise these special moments and celebrate love, and we just can’t wait to hear everyone’s incredible stories and see their photos.
