THE Torn frontman Damian Dalton-Smith will be ‘keeping it in the family’ when he teams up with his star sister Sheridan Smith on Sky TV over Christmas.
Damian is one quarter of the Epworth-based band but he has secured his first TV speaking part alongside West End star Sheridan.
They will both be appearing in ‘Little Crackers2’ which will be screened over 12 consecutive days from Monday, December 19, on Sky 1 HD then repeated on Sky 1 and Sky 2.
Other star names in the short film series include Harry Hill, Barbara Windsor and Johnny Vegas, all recounting childhood memories which were new experiences.
Former South Axholme pupil Sheridan recalls her first gig and her parents, Marilyn and Colin, when they performed as Country and Western act The Daltons.
Damian plays the part of a northern club compere with Colin and Marilyn - who still live in Epworth - also appearing.
He spent four days filming in London with Sheridan and her co-stars Ralph Little and Angela Badlands.
Meanwhile Damian has returned to complete work on three Torn songs which are due to be the band’s first iTunes release later this month.
A video is being filmed for the title song ‘Tissue Of Lies’ at Robin Hood Airport.
Next year they will produce two more videos and plans are in the pipeline to play in Las Vegas in May.
