Doncaster’s award winning restaurant The Old Weighing Room is getting set for the new season after launching its spring menu with a Jamie Oliver trained chef.

The stunning new seasonal menu created by chef Richard Robinson and his team features hearty dishes with a contemporary twist incorporating with locally sourced ingredients aimed at satisfying the most heart appetite.

Chef Robinson, who previously worked for the Jamie Oliver Foundation as a training chef for the No15 restaurant in Cornwall, said: “The Old Weighing Room celebrates British modern cuisine and we are continually evolving our menus to incorporate the very best seasonal ingredients. Guests can now enjoy a range of new dishes including Soanes and sons stuffed supreme of chicken, Wharfedale crispy lambs belly and seafood stew.”

The Old Weighing Room – formerly known as Silks – underwent a £125,000 redevelopment in spring 2014.

It’s redevelopment preserved its 1920s architectural design features and is the perfect setting to celebrate any special occasion.

The Old Weighing Room accommodates up to 70 people and features an elegant bar serving a variety of wines, cocktails and specially selected beverages.

The restaurant at Doncaster racecourse opens Thursday to Sunday every week and is the perfect location for intimate dining, a celebration with friends or simply to enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the stunning Town Moor racecourse.
