FUNNYMAN Charlie Higson has announced he will be in Doncaster to talk about his latest children’s zombie fiction thriller.
Well-known for his comedic characters smooth-talking Swiss Toni and Lord Ralph Meyhew in BBC Two’s The Fast Show, the tremendously talented Higson has taken to penning scores of successful children’s books.
The writer of the Young Bond series will be stopping off in the borough to speak about his latest thrilling book The Dead on Monday, April 23, at Doncaster Racecourse.
The event is being held to celebrate the Doncaster Book Award which allows young pupils to write reviews about their favourite reads and vote for their best book.
Finalists will then be invited to attend a glittering awards ceremony at Doncaster Athletic Club, in the Keepmoat Stadium, on May 25.
