Having recently surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, Bill Kenwright’s production of Blood Brothers is heading to the Doncaster Dome next year.
The show will be staged at the venue from 17–22 March.
The legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.
The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.
Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers and it is one of only three musicals ever to achieve more than 10,000 performances in London’s West End.
It has been affectionately christened the “Standing Ovation Musical”, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” according to Jack Tinker of the Daily Mail.
Chris Hone, head of commercial development, from Doncaster Dome said: “This is a really exciting show and we are delighted to be bringing it to Doncaster.
“Musicals have always gone down well with South Yorkshire audiences and we’ve enjoyed Annie and Joseph in the past.
“We are sure that Blood Brothers will be a great hit.”
