More drop-in coronavirus vaccination clinics announced in Doncaster for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday - no appointments needed

They will be held at Rutland House, near Thorne Road close the the town centre, and the the Keepmoat stadium, and are for Doncaster residents only.

One of the sessions at Rutland House will be this evening (June 10) offering first doses for over 40s and second doses to people who have had the Astrazenica jab. That runs from 7pm until 8pm.

Then more will be held over the weekend.

On Saturday from 1pm until 4.30pm, Rutland House will be offering first doses for over 40s and second doses to people who have had the Astrazenica jab.

On Sunday, June 13, from 2pm until 5pm, Rutland House will be offering will be offering first doses to under 40s and second doses to anyone who is due their second dose of the PfizerBiontech jab

On both Saturday and Dunday, from 1.30pm until 4.30pm, the Keepmoat Stadium will be offering first doses and second doses of both the Astra Zeneca and the PfizerBiontech jab, while stocks last. Use car park two.

Advice being given by organisers of the Rutland House clinics said: “Please be prepared that there may be a queue and waiting times of up to approximately 15 minutes from joining the queue to vaccination at busy times. You may be queuing outside so please dress for the weather.

“The lovely volunteer marshals will be on hand in the car park and to show you where to go. If the car park gets really busy they may advise you to park elsewhere nearby or to try a different time. The Mount Group Practice and Kingthorne Group Practice Car Parks are available. The site is accessible via the Bus route and is within walking distance of the town centre

“Please wear your face covering and use hand sanitisers on offer.”

Figures this week revealed four in every 100 people aged 50 and over in Doncaster have yet to receive a first vaccination dose against Covid-19 – despite being invited to book a jab more than two months ago.

People aged 25 and over now being invited to come forward from yesterday, on what marks six months since the first Covid jab was administered in the UK.
