The club’s Club Doncaster Foundation has kicked off Home Goals – a free internet campaign to help people to stay active physically and mentally during the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.
A spokesman said: “In the wake of current events, Club Doncaster have continued to support the Doncaster community wherever possible in leading a healthy lifestyle.
“In partnership with Doncaster Council our new project Home Goals is a free online campaign to provide a safe way for the Doncaster community to get active in the safety of their homes and also connect people through a wide range of activities during this period.”
In support of Sport England’s ‘Stay in Work Out’ campaign, the programme will ensure the community have a safe way to start or maintain exercise safely, catering for all fitness levels.
The sessions will be inclusive to all and will come in four levels of intensity, from chair-based exercise to intense HIIT sessions. In addition to exercise, there will also be a number of healthy cooking tutorials and recipes focusing on affordability and simplicity along with supporting anyone who is now home-schooling.
Live sessions will be released each week via the YouTube channel Home Goals - Keeping our community match fit as as a Facebook page that will provide participants with the opportunity to access other sessions and share their own experiences HERE
