Doncaster Rovers launches online fitness and cookery sessions for fans in lockdown

Doncaster Rovers have launched online fitness and cookery sessions to help support fans in lockdown.

The club’s Club Doncaster Foundation has kicked off Home Goals – a free internet campaign to help people to stay active physically and mentally during the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.

A spokesman said: “In the wake of current events, Club Doncaster have continued to support the Doncaster community wherever possible in leading a healthy lifestyle.

“In partnership with Doncaster Council our new project Home Goals is a free online campaign to provide a safe way for the Doncaster community to get active in the safety of their homes and also connect people through a wide range of activities during this period.”

Doncaster Rovers has launched online fitness sessions.

In support of Sport England’s ‘Stay in Work Out’ campaign, the programme will ensure the community have a safe way to start or maintain exercise safely, catering for all fitness levels.

The sessions will be inclusive to all and will come in four levels of intensity, from chair-based exercise to intense HIIT sessions. In addition to exercise, there will also be a number of healthy cooking tutorials and recipes focusing on affordability and simplicity along with supporting anyone who is now home-schooling.
