Dancers of all ages, shapes and sizes are being urged to join an online, weekly silent disco – with partygoers enjoying the fun and music from the comfort of their own front rooms.

Organiser Frederika Roberts, a health and well being speaker, said: “During this coronavirus crisis it's more important than ever to stay connected.

“Social distancing doesn't mean we need to lose contact with friends and family. In fact, let's take this as an opportunity to connect virtually with people we may ordinarily not see due to distance.”

Frederika Roberts has organised a weekly silent disco.

To join the disco, which gets under way from 7.55pm tonight and every Friday, go to

The event will also be streamed live on Facebook HERE at 8pm GMT for 30 minutes.

When you go to the Zoom link, if you haven't already installed Zoom on your computer, it will ask you to install the software, but if you'd rather not install or can't, you should be able to opt to join via weblink instead.

Added Frederika: “Your microphone will be muted. It is a silent disco. You bring your own music to dance to - turn it up as loud as you want, listen to your favourite tunes! We each do the same, so we can see each other dancing to our own music but nobody can hear anyone else's music.”

Up to 100 people can join the Zoom room.
