The only area of Doncaster that's Covid free, according to new NHS figures

Sprotbrough is the only part of Doncaster where there are currently said to be no coronavirus infections, according to NHS England statistics.

Maps showing the number of cases across the country say that Covid in Sprotbrough is currently ‘supressed’ with under three cases reported in the area up to February 16.

According to the data, there were fewer than 3 cases. For smaller areas with fewer than three cases, the NHS does not show data to protect individuals' identities.

The figures show the seven–day rolling rate of new cases.

Elsewhere in Doncaster, the Hatfield area has the highest number of cases with the number of Covid-19 infections rising by 71 to give a rolling rate of 779.2 cases per 100,000 people.

However, the majority of cases are down to coronavirus outbreaks in the area’s three prisons which fall within the Hatfield borough.
