Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Teaching Foundation Trust, which runs Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Mexborough’s Montagu Hospital and Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop passed the milestone late last week and the number is now edging towards 350 patients.

In Doncaster there have been 695 cases of COVID-19 with 180 deaths.

Across the UK, there have been 276,332 cases of coronavirus with a total of 39,045 deaths.

The UK has the highest death toll in Europe and is second only to America globally, with the United States recording nearly 107,000 deaths.

Globally, there have now been 6,388,532 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 377,883 deaths while 2,922,663 have recovered from the disease.

Statistics show that more than 10 per cent of the world’s deaths from coronavirus have been recorded in Britain.
