No new coronavirus deaths announced in Doncaster, but South Yorkshire toll rises

No new coronavirus deaths have been recorded at hospitals in Doncaster, but another 27 patients across England have died.

The number of patients with COVID-19 to have died at hospitals in Doncaster remains at 205, with the England-wide tally rising to 27,982, according to the latest figures from NHS England this afternoon, Monday, June 15.

The disease has now claimed at least 802 lives across South Yorkshire, following two more hospital deaths in Rotherham, but there were none reported in Sheffield or Barnsley.

The true figure is likely to be much higher as that does not include deaths at care homes or elsewhere in the community.

There have been 907 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Doncaster, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Across the UK, as of 5pm on Saturday, the latest date for which figures are available, 41,698 people with coronavirus are known to have died across all settings.
