More coronavirus deaths recorded in South Yorkshire including Doncaster

NHS England confirmed a further 81 deaths related to Covid-19 have been recorded across England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 30,743.

A patient being treated at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust was also among the latest fatalities. The families of all the deceased have been informed.

It comes after four more deaths were recorded by Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Trust on Wednesday amid a continued surge in cases. No fewer than 12 deaths were recorded at Yorkshire hospitals on 14 October.

Doncaster’s coronavirus death toll stood at 266 as of 2 October. There were 205 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to 11 October, the latest date for which reliable data is available.
