Man arrested after doctors' cars are smashed up outside Doncaster GP surgery

The Lakeside Practice in Askern said the incident yesterday had ‘caused significant fear and distress’ to staff.

A post on Facebook said: “As some of you may already be aware, there has been an incident at the surgery which has resulted in extensive damage to cars belonging to members of our staff.

“We continue to work hard in these unprecedented times trying to help everyone in our community both Covid and non Covid. Whilst it is only damage to our cars, the incident has caused significant fear and distress to our staff in these already challenging times. This has also caused difficulty in our ability to be able to get to and from work.

“Thank you to South Yorkshire Police for their prompt response and detaining the individual concerned. This behaviour is criminal and will not be tolerated at our surgery.”
