Four more coronavirus deaths recorded in Doncaster as England's death toll rises by 185

A further four people who tested positive for coronavirus in the Doncaster area have died, the latest figures from NHS England show.

It means 179 patients at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Trust have now died following the latest increase. The family members of the latest fatalities in the town have been informed.

NHS England confirmed a further 185 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 26,234.

As of Wednesday, the UK death toll from the virus stood 37,460 across all settings.

Across South Yorkshire, 265 people have now died in Sheffield hospitals after another patient who tested positive for the disease passed away. Another hospital patient has also died in Rotherham, taking the death toll there to 156. In Barnsley, the death toll remains at 116.
