'Enjoy the moment:' Number of Doncaster hospital Covid patients drops to zero
The number of patients receiving treatment for coronavirus in Doncaster’s hospitals has dropped to zero, health bosses have said.
In its latest update issued yesterday, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “We will say it ever so quietly, however, as of right now we don't have any active cases of COVID-19 within our hospitals.
"How long it'll last, we can't say, but for now we will enjoy the moment.
"Please continue doing what you're doing - stay safe, sensible and put your arm forward when called for your jab.
"We've come so far in our fight against COVID-19, and we still need to remain cautious and do all we can to ensure we don't see a further spike.”
Last week, the Trust reported a ‘manageable’ rise in patients, up to four from one the previous week.
Yesterday, we published a story written before the Trust’s update and unfortunately published on a Facebook schedule after the update. We apologise for any confusion.
