Doncaster makeup artist uses her skills to paint NHS mural on her living room windows

Hayleigh Louise Kingston, aged 36, from High Melton, wants people to ‘keep smiling’ throughout this tough time so much so that she has painted those words on her living room window.

They are accompanied by a painting depicting NHS workers as superheroes holding up the planet as well as an Easter bunny and Mickey Mouse.

She said: “I saw a fellow artist paint on her windows and I’ve seen children putting rainbows up and I wanted to join in.

“There is a little boy who lives across the road from me and I wanted to brighten up his day as well as anyone who may walk by.

“I used bright colours because young children love them and they won’t be returning to school for a long time so they need things to cheer them up.

Hayleigh painted her windows with face paint that she had in the house - she often uses body paint in her role as a makeup artist but

She wanted to pay tribute to the NHS workers who are dealing with the current Covid-19 situation.

“The NHS is doing a hell of a lot at the moment and I wanted to show my support,” she continued.

“I hope people can keep positive until this all clears over.”

Hayleigh is self-employed and is awaiting confirmation from the government about what they are doing to help during the coronavirus.

She said: “Hopefully he puts something in place for us, the Universal Credit helpline is rammed and you can’t get through.

“But money does not make the world go round and it’s been lovely to see people being nice, doing things like dropping off food parcels.

“Hopefully when all this blows over people will realise that money isn’t everything.”

Hayleigh runs a private studio named HLM and she has services such as lashes, dermaplaning, make-up, and hair.

She will be part of the team at Doncaster Fashion Week which is scheduled to go ahead later this year.
