Doncaster Council suspends green bin collections as Boris Johnson announces UK lockdown

Doncaster Council has suspended green bin collections to “prioritise” other collections amid the coronavirus breakout.

The Council said the “temporary” suspension would allow it to prioritise household waste and recycling collections.

The suspension will take effect immediately. It is not yet known how long it will last.

Elsewhere in the town, several restaurant chains have announced they are closing from today to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
