One resident, who declined to be named, said: “Who in their right mind made the decision to tape up and cover all of the rubbish and dog waste bins at Lakeside due to Covid and the risk of touching surfaces?

“There are no surfaces to touch, the bins are open and you could drop your waste into them. The council directs you to four giant bins, which, you’ve guessed it, you have to lift the lid on to put your waste into.

“We have numerous bags of dog c*** and rubbish piling up at each bin location. Not only does this stink in the hot sun, it is also a public health hazard. Round of applause for Doncaster Council!”
