Doncaster coronavirus death toll rises by six as another 332 people die across England

The number of people who have died with coronavirus at hospitals in Doncaster has risen by six to 116.

The latest figures published by NHS England this afternoon for the 24 hours up to 5pm on Thursday, May 7, show that a further 332 COVID-19 deaths at hospitals across England were recorded during that period.

The number of patients to have died with the disease at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Trust rose from 110 to 116, though the latest deaths to be announced all occurred before Thursday but have only just been added to the total.

The total coronavirus hospital deaths in England now stands at 22,765.

This does not include deaths at care homes or elsewhere in the community, which are published separately.

The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics show that as of April 24 at least 12 people had died at care homes in Doncaster.
