It is also thought there may be some discrepancies with figures due to delays in cases and deaths being reported over the Easter Bank Holiday period.

Nationally, the UK death toll has passed 11,000 as another 667 including a 17-year-old and 40 healthy patients were reported to have died in England.

NHS England confirmed the latest victims were aged between 17 and 98 - including 40 with no underlying health conditions.
