Coronavius: Death toll in Doncaster remains static amid 85 more deaths across England

No deaths from coronavirus have been recorded in the Doncaster area in the last 24 hours, NHS England confirmed.

It means the death toll at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Trust remains at 180. There have been 695 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the town, according to Public Health England.

Nationally, a further 85 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 26,614.

As of Sunday, the UK's coronavirus death toll was at least 38,461.

Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, one more person who tested positive for the disease has died in Sheffield, taking the death toll there to 270. In Barnsley, 121 people have now died after another fatality was recorded in the town. One more death was also recorded in Rotherham, taking the death toll there to 160.
