Coronavirus: four more deaths in South Yorkshire

A further four people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in South Yorkshire.

It means the number of confirmed coronavirus deaths across the county now stands at 19.

The latest patients to die were three people from Sheffield and another from Barnsley.

There were no new deaths confirmed in Doncaster and the death toll in the town remains at two.

Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, 13 people in Sheffield who tested positive for Covid-19 have died. A further three people have died in Barnsley, while Rotherham has one death.

The number of confirmed reported deaths in England now stands at 1,125, an increase of 190 from yesterday (28 March).

NHS England said the 190 patients who died were aged between 39 and 105 years old and all but four patients – who were aged between 57 and 87 years old – had underlying health conditions.
