All Doncaster's leisure centres close again as third lockdown kicks in

All of Doncaster’s leisure centres and venues have closed their doors again as the third nationwide coronavirus lockdown gets under way.

The Dome, as well as the town's other local leisure centres, will all be closed for the foreseeable future following last night’s announcement by PM Boris Johnson.

Michael Hart, chief executive of Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust said: “We are sad to have to close our venues once again as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We know the impact that this will have on our members and customers who benefit from regular exercise at our facilities.

“It is important that we all follow the government guidance and adhere to the national lockdown restrictions in a bid to stem the spread of the virus.

“We look forward to welcoming our customers back to our venues when we are able to do so. Together we can do it for Doncaster.”
